The Moomintroll Turquoise Moomin Mug was brought into market together with The Snorkmaiden Pink Moomin Mug in 2013, but was removed from production a year earlier in 2018. The mug’s illustration came from Tove Jansson’s comic strip Moomin Builds a House, in which Mymble and her kids have taken over the Moominhouse. In the comic strip, Little My and Snorkmaiden suggested that Moomintroll build a house for him and Snorkmaiden.
Moomintroll being the main character in the Moomin stories, it is evident that Arabia prefers to bring him up by releasing a renewed single character mug of him from time to time. In 2019 we got a new version of the Moomintroll mug, this time on a grass green background.
